Nature Republic Tweety Lip Tint Review

Nature Republic Tweety Lip Tint
Colour: No.3 Petit Pink
Amount: 9g
Price: around 5$ on Koreadepart

I bought this cute lip tint back when I was in Korea. While casually browsing through Nature Republic (They had a sales event going on), I found a corner filled with cute Tweety products. And obviously, I couldn't resist :D
Unfortunately, dumb me already removed the cardboard box it came it that had a cute Tweety print on it as well, and I just now noticed that I forgot to take a photo of it ;-;

The bottle is light and small, perfect to take along while travelling,

The applicator is soft, a bit like a sponge and soaks up the lip tint, making it really easy to apply the tint on your lips evenly.
The tint itself is like a soft gel, not completely liquid like Tony Moly's tint for example. Which is really nice, because it will actually moisturize your lips instead of drying them out. It will feel slightly sticky after applying it, though that feeling fades quite quickly.

The tint also has a light, sweet scent to it, which reminds me a bit of some perfume that I once used.
It's quite pleasant, and not too strong which I really like.

Bare lips:

With Sweety Tint (photo taken 5 minutes after application of the tint)

As you can see, it's not a strong colour at all. The tint takes a bit of time until your lips will show some colour so I'd recommend you to not apply it directly before going out.

I would say this tint is nice if you simply want a light, natural colour to brighten up your lips a bit. Mine usually look so pale that people tend to ask me if I'm feeling ill, so this colour, especially because it's very light, works great for making me look a bit more healthy. And pink lips look cute, right? ^-^

I love this tint! Like I said before, the colour is perfect for a simple day on which I just want to look natural, but still put together and healthy ^-^
I can only recommend it to anyone who hates getting dry lips and likes natural, light colours on them :D

What do you think about this tint?
Too light, or just right?

Please tell me your opinion in the comments ^-^

Nature Republic Lemon Peeling Gel Review

Price: 12,99$ on Ebay, but originally it was under 7.000 Won in Korea, as far as I remember.
(I think the one on ebay is an older version of this, since the design looks different)
Amount: 120ml

The ingredients.
I like how they indicate the "scrub strength" on the packaging, so that people with sensitive skin like me won't buy something that will probably irritate their skin.

The packaging has some random french words written on it.

Well...it's a gel.
It also has some small, yellow beads in it .  They usally dissolve when  massaging the gel into the skin.
Because it's just a gel and not an actual scrub, it's very gentle to my skin. My skin didn't get irritated at all, which it normally does. I can just massage this into my skin until it's fully absorbed into my skin , and then i can just rub the dead skin cells off.

I LOVE IT.
It really smells like lemon, so citrus-y and suuuper yummy :D
(FYI i love lemons. Whenever I get a slice of one in my coke at a restaurant I eat it OTL)
The scent makes you feel quite refreshed, but it doesn't last that long. It fades away right after starting to massage the gel into your skin, unfortunately T^T But the scent is definitely a  + for me :D

This works really~ well. It's gentle on the skin and you can literally see the dead skin cells coming off.
I would show you a picture but it's a little gross so...better not xD
I don't know if this is an appropriate comparison, but before I saw videos of people using a peeling gel by a japanese brand (Cure? Aqua Peeling Gel? something like that), which was hyped a lot~ and somehow, I think this gel works similarly, if not just as good. After using the peeling gel, there will be lots of grey, small clumps that you can just wash off.
After washing everything off, my skin is visibly less dull and feels really soft. I barely can stop myself from touching my face all the time after using it, even though I know I'm not supposed to xD

5/5 Stars :D

It works perfectly fine, was reasonably priced (not on Ebay though) and does not irritate my skin. All in all, a perfect product for me ^-^ When this runs out (which probably won't happen this year anymore xD) I will definitely try to repurchase this, if I can find a place that sells this without jacking up the price way~ too much ^^

Korea Haul

Actually, I came back from Korea several months ago, but~
I'm going there again in about 3 months, and this time I need to take better care of my expenses.
Last time I spent all my money, but I barely remember how much I spent on clothes, how much on food etc.
So I thought I'd just collect all the things I bought there for an overview for myself. If I know how much I spent on clothes, cosmetics, etc, I can easily figure out how much of my money was spent on food, and how much I need to take with me this time.

And since I already had everything ready, why not take pictures and upload them? ^^
So there you go~

That's most of the stuff I bought there, but I'm sure I forgot at leat 2-3 things

Nature Republic Snail Therapy Sheet Mask Review

Price: 14,76$ on Koreadepart for a pack of 5 sheets
(I got mine for free when buying something at the Nature Republic store in Korea)
Amount: 20g of serum per sheet
1.000mg of snail mucus (...yay? o.o)

"Provides moisturizing effect for skin to suppress the skin cells
Promotes elasticity and creates smooth skin"

Drawings to make sure everyone understands how to use this :P

I hope you can read the ingredients, the picture got kind of blurry T^T Next time I check the photos on my computer before throwing the packaging away.

First, the mask itself:

The mask was of a thicker material than most sheet masks and absorbed the serum really well. There wasn't a single drop of serum left in the packaging, which is great.
As you can see in the upper picture, it's only the sheet mask itself inside he packaging, there's not plastic sheet to help you unfold the mask without any problems. If you're not careful enough, you might end up ripping the mask if you try to unfold it too quickly.

Now onto the texture of the serum:

That's what I got when squeezing the mask dry after having it on my face for 20 minutes.

If you would ask me to describe the texture in one single word, I would say:
Slimy.
Really slimy.
It's not that surprising since it contains so much snail slime filtrate but it's such a weird feeling when you have the mask in your hand. You need to get used to it, and if you're like me, you will probably hesitate for a moment before daring to put the mask on your face. It's a huge difference between just knowing that there's snail mucus in a product and feeling that there really is snail mucus in a product.
The good part about this texture though:
It won't drip down your neck. Normally when using sheet masks, I always use a towel to keep my clothes clean. And sometimes, my neck gets more of the serum than my face does. That's not a problem you will get when using this mask ^^

I'm going to split this into  parts, the effects while using it and after using it ^^

While using the sheet mask: First of all, it feels really cooling. Which is nice because it helps to relax while wearing the mask, but bad too...because it's still winter here, and I was freezing xD
I felt relaxed while wearing this mask ^^
Immediately after using the mask: Sticky. I had to keep my fringe up for almost an hour after using it, because my skin was still sticky. A little bit annoying, but not necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn't use this mask on a day on which you're planning to use make-up and go out though ^^ And not directly before going to bed as well, just use it at least 1-2 hours before going to sleep.
The day after using it: So much love for this mask. My pimples were less angry (aka red), my skin felt really soft and so~ moisturized that it almost looked oily :D This probably doesn't sound like something positive, but if you always had dry skin like me you'll find that a nice surprise when your skin is suddenly slightly shiny ^^ And the results were visible for 2-3 days :D

5/5 Stars.

It does everything it promises it does, and since I got it for free I definitely won't complain about the price ^^
Everything's perfect :D
I would only recommend to buy it for people with really dry skin, otherwise it's a little expensive.

Nature Republic Botanical Lip & Cheek Colour (#03 Sugar Orange) Review

Price: 5,15$ on Koreadepart
Amount: 6g

Description on Koreadepart:

" -Aroma component that relaxes skin
-Excellent moisture ingredients moisturizes lips and skin.
 -Soft and no sticky
 -Sweet flower scent.
 -Mild herb ingredients
-Can be used for lips and cheek."

Adorable packaging, in my opinion :D

Description in English, but the ingredients written on the back of it are all in Korean
Printed with soy ink on eco-friendly paper :D
And sorry for the way the packaging looks. I carried this in my luggage and used it a few times already before taking photos, so I always put the glass container back into it etc.

the glass container is recycable as well :D

I picked colour No.3, Sugar Orange....well okay I didn't exactly pick this colour out of all colours available.
I saw this in a Nature Republic store in Insadong, thought the colour shown through the see-through part of the packaging looked nice and bought it. Actually I don't think I even noticed there were other colours ^^''

Shopping in Korea: You spend money just like that

"syuga oraenji"= Sugar Orange :D

Anyways~
I really, really like this colour, because it doesn't exactly look like 'orange' on my lips. I never used any orange colour on my face, and I never planned to because I just couldn't imagine how an orange colour could look good on me.

Swatched on the back of my hand:

with flash:

On my lips:

Bare lips

with Nature Republic's Botanical Lip& Cheek colour
As you can see, it's not very pigmented, but that's what I like about it.
It does look very natural, especially from a bigger distance. The colour is just a warm, subtle tone of orange and makes my face look much healthier than the cold, light pinkish tone that my lips normally have.
It also slightly evens out the discolourations on my lips and makes them appear less thin ^-^

Zoomed in on the tip of my finger. Sorry about the bad quality ^^''
I would say the texture is almost~ creamy and you easily get the colour out of the glass container. Just be careful to not to apply too much pressure or you'll get out way too much of it. It's really easy to spread on your lips, so no need to use much.

Let's just go through it's promises in the description first:
"Aroma component that relaxes skin": ...I don't know how it's supposed to relax my skin but okay, maybe that's right?
"Excellent moisture ingredients moisturizes lips and skin.":  Not true at all. I had to apply lipbalm after half an hour or so because my lips felt dry.
"Soft and no sticky": True, it really does not feel sticky
"Sweet flower scent": I didn't really smell anything, but maybe that's just me ^^'
"Mild herb ingredients" Since the ingredients are only in Korean, no idea if that one's right.
"Can be used for lips and cheek" True. I'm a complete newbie at applying blush though, so I didn't swatch that ^^

3/5 Stars
It is a nice colour, but it dries out my lips way too fast and to be honest, I prefer a tinted lipbalm over this one.
